The challenge in such a vast country with huge population is to reach out. To identify the various Institutions in our country involved with working persons with such disorders. It should be remembered that disorders of the type we are dealing with have been through generations looked upon as divine curse or repayment of sins in the previous life. Family with a member with such disorder would generally keep him or her isolated from society. One rarely finds such individuals in shopping malls or parks or a zoo. So, it’s a challenge of a different kind wherein the Institutions have to educate the parents towards acceptance and need for rehabilitation.

Visibility is one of the strategies that are used to reach out to the target audience. Increased visibility gives more opportunities to connect with the society. This is the main premise with which we have framed our activities increase our reach and show case some wonderful work being done by a number of Institutions working in this field. It must be borne in mind that persons with these disorders have similar emotional needs and can have talents just like anyone else.  Our efforts to reach out to the Institutions will also give us an opportunity to identify individuals with special talents and skills.
